Keats Group Practice Art and Wellbeing Exhibition

Non-urgent advice: Looking at art is good for you!

From June 15th to the 29th the practice held an Art and Wellbeing Exhibition organised one of our very own GP's, Dr Rosie Soffair.

"We recognise growing challenges of mental illness, health inequalities, loneliness and isolation in the UK. There is increasing evidence that the arts can promote good health and play an important role in the prevention and management of illness.

With this in mind, we were delighted to invite everyone to come and view the Keats Group Practice Art and Wellbeing Exhibition. Staff members and their families contributed artworks exploring the relationship between art, health and wellbeing.

We also wanted to use this event to shine a spotlight on our Social Prescribing and Care Navigation services. These established services within primary care support people living with chronic physical and mental illness, loneliness, and complex social issues that affect their health and wellbeing.

At Keats Group Practice, we are fortunate to have a Social Prescriber, Heather Allen, and a Care Navigator, Gemma Roye, who work with our adult patients. Together they help connect people with activities, groups and support that improve health and wellbeing, including arts-based activities. More information on their services can be found on our Additional Support Services Page." - Dr Rosie Soffair

If you missed out on the exhibition, dont worry, we plan to do more like this in the near future!
